A warm welcome you to my newsletter, Peace of Mind. Settle in!

About me

I’m Meg - a licensed psychotherapist, meditator and author. My debut book, ARE YOU MAD AT ME? explores people-pleasing as a common but underrecognized safety mechanism called the fawn response. It comes out August 5th!

I approach therapy through a compassion-focused, mindfulness-based, trauma-informed lens, blending spirituality and psychotherapy. I believe that healing starts with the practice of awareness. We’re not some project to be ‘fixed’ - that implies that there’s something inherently wrong with us. We are inherently good and whole beings that are deserving of acceptance in every season of life. Healing is about understanding the beliefs and blockages that keep us from remembering that truth.

I received my Master’s of Social Work from Columbia University, and my meditation teacher certification from the Nalanda Institute, where I studied (and continue to study) Vipassana meditation. Meditation has been an integral part of my healing path and I’m forever a student of these ancient traditions and practices.

You may have found me through Instagram or TikTok, where I share tangible tools and gentle reminders on healing and being human. My hope is that this newsletter is a space where I can expand upon these topics and connect with you more deeply and authentically.

What you’ll find

Here, you’ll find Peace of Mind - a place to return to yourself. My greatest hope is that this corner of the internet can be an intentional space for you to reflect, slow down and tune in. If my Instagram posts resonate with you, this newsletter is a space to go deeper in a more intentional way. My intention is to support you on your path of cultivating inner peace and presence, deep connection with yourself and others, and to provide tangible guidance along the way.

My letters consist of reflections ripped from my journal, tangible tools, reminders, nuggets of therapeutic information and meditative musings. In each letter, I also share journaling prompts to guide you for the week ahead.

No Paywall?!

I used to have a Paywall on my work - I no longer do. You can read why here. Whether you’re a free subscriber or a paid subscriber - you have access to:

  • 15+ guided meditations that live on my Substack page. You can find them by typing “meditation” in the search bar!

  • Future newsletters/journaling prompts

  • All past newsletters/journaling prompts

If you feel called to support me and my work in becoming a paid subscriber, I thank you deeply! Whatever option feels best for you, thank you for being here, exactly as you are.
